Ronnie 2¢ from London, United Kingdomwow . . I thought this was a statue . . that headgear is amazing. 25 May 2008 5:03am @Ronnie 2¢: The creativity of these guys is notable and a strong element of their success. Believe me, they call out crowds. MahGol from Tehran, Iranits a great shot .. it has to be a street performance .. right? i love the dark sliver mode .. :) 25 May 2008 5:08am @MahGol: Yes, he is a street performer. Guy looks is very tall and intimidating in person. @M!NA: Thanks!! Namaki from Bordeaux, Francewhaouh !! this is a nice shot ! I like the black and white contrast ...it adds drama to the character ! 25 May 2008 9:11am Namaki from Bordeaux, Francewhaouh !! this is a nice shot ! I like the black and white contrast ...it adds drama to the character ! 25 May 2008 9:12am @Namaki: I seriously thought about color here. I tried both and found this was best for the subject and elements. Thanks for the visit and comment. Thierry Masson from orly, Francehow strange it is, i wonder if the next human sacrifice is in the next future. Dreadful... You're kind to call me a musicien, never played an instrument, only hearing & watching for catching feelings & light. Have a nice day & luck. Thierry 25 May 2008 11:27am @Thierry Masson: Oh, you can bet human sacrifice is out of the equation at this point of Mexican history. That is in the direct and literal sense. Government policies that benefit business interest over those of the people has been the new way since the conquest by the Spanish. I am not promoting blame, just simply pointing to a historical case in point. @Baz: Thanks, Baz! Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesThis is a very good image, Luis! Besides the great execution you managed to empower this actors dramatic and somehow devilish appearance with your B&W! 25 May 2008 3:08pm @Nataly: Nataly, I am not a pro photographer. I will update my blog soon to include my personal information; no need to exist in mystery to others. You can see my profile on VFXY for now, though. I picked up the camera again after many years of not pursing it as a means to communicate moments back in 2006. Since I have been reading a lot, spending some cash, and practicing as much as I can. I really enjoy our exchange of thoughts and comments. To be afraid to speak your mind on what your see. If you don't like something or really have something you feel can benefit constructively, go ahead and shoot. Nobody wants to be a party pooper around here so it seems it's easier to say nice things when there are and nothing when there isn't. This is something I've experienced in many blogs and photo communities like Flickr. There are so many people like myself thirsting for some direction and advice that could give their photography an extra desirable boost. You have a pleasant --what remains-- weekend. @heidi: Hey! Where did you learn Mexican slang? Thanks for the visit. Glad you liked it. @zOOm: Thanks. These guys are pros at what they do. They have all day and week to practice and do great for people being in the hot dry sun all day. Nataly from Santa Monica, United StatesThank you soooo much for your reply! I am not afraid to speak my mind up, and I will. I promise... Though, since I am a very much a beginner I am just learning to view and see and analyze photos. A lot of times I just can`t tell why I don`t like this or that image. I sense that something is missing though I often cannot tell what. I like your photography because it is alive a real, every image is a story. However I have a felling that some images you post simply to see the reaction... 25 May 2008 10:13pm @Nataly: There are images I do post to get an idea of what the image provokes. I guess many images aren't too likable as I really don't cause a stir, but I like what I do and will continue to shoot anyway. It's fun to interact with others nonetheless and exchange ideas and thoughts about photography. danthro from Suburbia, United Statesexcellent shot!! love the tones! great dof and framing also. 26 May 2008 1:02am |
