Whether it is the composition, the lighting, the contrast or all of it together.... but this photo just shines at you on the community page. And looking at it.... I just like it.

@Nataly: Nataly, very nice of you to drop by daily. Hard for me to correspond the same because of my schedule. Could you believe I work 12 hours a day and barely have time to answer the comments. Thanks for the encouraging words as well.

@MahGol: I am glad to see that a few liked the image. I was reluctant on posting it as people aren't too fond of this sort of photography, but I also post for my own pleasure so what the heck. Thanks for the visit and again for your comment.
Nice! I would like to do nice contrasted B&W like this. How?

@Meve: Meve, thanks but there is no secret to doing b&w especially in photoshop. I have read some books on this and you have channels options as well as wonderful plugins that make it even easier. However, I always shoot in color and looks for elements like lines, light, shadow, texture, and form in the images that will enhance the processing into bw. Some images simply don't qualify for black and white while others scream for it. You can write to me at ldejesusr [AT] gmail [DOT] com and I will provide you with more detailed information.
You really are dedicated. I would be a little iffy about kneeling on a dirty subway train floor, but you did it and wow, what an amazing result.

@johnnyanne: Johnnyanne, this was one of several in which I simply took the camera and pointed down towards the candy wrap on the floor; I used a wide angle lens. The idea was inspired by a Canadian photographer whose blog I have been keeping track of since 2005 when I was considering taking up photography again. His work made me give it a try again.
