Decided to HDR this one because of all the silver makeup the guy had on him.

If this is HDR, it is very well done, Luis. There are too many images as I now understand where this process is being abused. I even developed a negative opinion about this method. But with this image you prove otherwise. Nice composition as well as a good capture. One thing I am not sure about that I keep staring at is the vignetting on the right side. Makes the frame a bit unbalanced. But it might`ve been your intention... walking towards the darker side?

@Nataly: Thanks Nataly. I have my qualms with HDR too. If you go to Flickr you will find plenty there and it tends to be the most popular. Anyhow, I use it sparingly and depending on the subject as well as what I am in the mood for when I see the image at the time of editing. It also depends on what I want to convey. The dark corners are on purpose to keep the site towards the center as much as possible. I do it in some images and it depends on what is going on in the composition. Especially in my street photography as there is little I can control when it comes to people, things, objects, etc.
Thanks for the constructive critique. A solution to the problem you are experiencing with the distraction may be a tighter crop, but I would need to explore this. It's amazing what that could do.
Thanks for dropping by, too.
very good color mode and a brilliat capture.

@Michael Skorulski: Michael, thanks for dropping by. Nice of you to comment.
You're very creative, it really looks as if this one has been juxtaposed on the background ! truly astonishing 3D effect ! This silvered cow-boy has such an expression ! Great HDR work here ! Bravo !

@zOOm: Zoom, a very odd image and not comment to be applied for HDR as many use it for wide urban or landscape work. Some friends here in Mexico got me doing this with people. Very interesting what can be achieved.
Terrific expression and use of shallow depth of field - nice work.

@daina: I was concerned about the very shallow depth of field as the bokeh is not as soft as I would like. Thanks for pointing it out, and thanks for dropping by.
very very cool!

Very judicious use of the technique - and a fine portrait is the result.

I was really surprised that HDR was used with this photo, I'm not such a fan of it but the way you've used it here...wow!

@Margie: Margie, yes it is odd, but I've been tempted several times to go HDR with such photos and the truth is doesn't always work. Glad it did here. Cheers!
Excelente Trabajo , en general todas las imagenes son muy buenas.
