"...therefore I am." (black & white version)

This is my favorite of the two versions. Thanks to those who took the time to read the description as I was looking for valuable feedback from as many willing to share their thoughts on it.

A magnifiscent portrait Luis, I like the rendering on his face. He seems so peaceful... and also very concentrated. The intensity of his glance.

@zOOm: Thanks for your comment. He was a very pleasant individual to run into that day. He even put a star on my forehead after taking the photo. Imagine what that was like. Have a good one.

great facial expression - this guy has seen a lot. as for the question if bw or color work better... in the bw you get rid of the distracting colors in the background, but you lose the great red of his lips... maybe go for a mix?

@Zahai: Interesting suggestion and worth the try. I wonder, however, if you would feel the same way had you not seen the color one first? Well, I hope I get "all" right the next time. Thanks for your valuable critique. cheers!

Even if the color one is a good picture, I agree with you and prefer the B&W one but the model counts. I mean he looks like a sad clown and B&W increase this feeling.

Glad you went for the B&W. Now viewing this again from yesterday's color version I lean towards the B&W as the best.
Great character in that face.

Definitely this one. The colour detracts from the important part of the photo (him) and the black and white accentuates it. He really "pops" in this one. Nice job.
